Thrift House: Beach Chairs

Cost: $3 each

I love these! Marshall and I go to the Folk Festival and you have to have low laying chairs like this. We got one on free day and I was searching for another. When I found these two I had to get them both, I mean they are so cute, and they match so I just had to. Now we have one extra but there's always someone that forgets their chair right?

Thrift House: Glass Jar Fisherman

 Cost: $1

I broke the bottle I had my vanilla in. I was pretty bummed out but then I found this one. I love the detail of the fisherman on the front. I'm not too sure I want to have it hidden away in my cupboard with my vanilla or if I want to have it out on display somewhere. Either way it's a cute little bottle and I know I'll find all sorts of uses for it.

Thrift House: Rock Like Planter

 Cost: 75 cents

I love pots with attached drainage trays (I always seem to forget when they're not attached and either break something or make a mess) and when I saw this one I just thought it was the coolest thing. I was sort of in the need for an in between pot (not small but not large either) so this was perfect. And I love how it's sort of modern but still sort of retro too. It reminds me also of a rock.

Thrift House: Glass Water Bottle

Cost: $2

As you know I love glass water bottles, and I already have one, but when I saw this one I thought it was so cute and had to get it. I'm not a fan of tap water, but I don't love the whole bottled water industry either so I'm sort of on the fence I guess. Either way though, great bottle and I couldn't leave it there.

Thrift House: Water Bag

Cost: 75 cents

I was just looking the other day for one of these at MEC and they were $7 but I just didn't want to pay that much for the few times I would use it but Marshall and I wanted one for when we go to concerts and they don't let you bring water in (we'd bring this and fill it up when we get inside. I am so not interested in paying $5 for a bottled water) so I was really excited when I saw this at the thrift store the next day. I'm yet to try it out but I'm pretty excited!

Thrift House: Wood Bowl

Cost: 50 cents

I love that these wooden bowls and different things were in 30 years ago because now I can find all sorts at the thrift store and not have to pay an arm and a leg for them in home outfitting stores ($20 for something like that? That's crazy!).

Thrift House: Small Planter

Cost: 50 cents

I did the first thrifting with someone other then my mom and I found this pretty. It's perfect for small plants, or plants that I'm propagating.

Thrift House: Beach Mat

Cost: $4

First of all the pattern is so cute, second of all it's so comfortable! I thought it would be great for the beach and for camping because it's so comfortable; add a blanket on to it and you're good to go!

Thrift House: Leaf Bird Bath

Cost: $4.50

I was looking for something that I could use for a bird bath. I like birds, bees, butterflies but I don't like all the big tall things you put out to try and attract them. I wanted something a little more natural and when I found this I just loved it and had to have it. I put it in the garden and I'll take a few photos and share them when the plants have grown in and make it look a little better.

Thrift House: Creative Room Book Shelf

Cost: Free

My mom's work was getting rid of this shelf, it was going to go to the thrift store but my mom always gives me first dibs so I took it. I had another shelf there before but this one fits even more so all the better! All the more books and plants to fit on it!

Thrift House: Green Glass Vase

Cost: Free

Another great free day find! I took the picture just how it is right now, but I think I'm going to take that mirror out from under it. My mom put it there when I was away but I'm not sure I love it there. Anyways, I love this vase, it's just so pretty. I know that there are a lot of ash trays like this too but I'm pretty sure that this is really a sort of bowl or vase. Either way I love the color and free couldn't get any better.

Thrift House: Dessert Container

Cost: $2

I really loved this but it didn't stay closed, the cork lid kept coming off. I remembered this ribbon I had and this sort of wrapped gift idea looks and works great!

Thrift House: Kitchen Island

Cost: $15

We were out on a day of garage saling and I found this. They wanted a lot more for it but I talked them down. I fits perfectly beside the freezer and is way more functional then what we had there before (which is now a linen cabinet downstairs)

Thrift House: Lazy Susan

Cost: $2

I was looking for a little lazy susan for on my table when we have big dinner parties and I found a couple that I liked but I wasn't interested in spending $20-$40 and then I found this pretty. I might still paint in a hammered silver but for now it's doing a great job just how it is.

Thrift House: Little Side Table

Cost: $3

Great right? It's perfect for holding my chess board, which is also from a thrift store.

Thrift House: Cheese Plate

Cost: $3

I love this designed in France cheese plate. I already have a clear couple glass plates in this shape and I love them (I use them for cheese already) so I thought this would be great. I love the picture on it, it makes me want to go on a trip to Europe right now!

Thrift House: Wine Rack

Cost: $15

Isn't this great? We were looking for something a little prettier for our wine and we were running out of room in our other wine rack and then I found this. I works great and is a great water cooler holder too. Two birds with one stone!

Thrift House: Candy Bowl

Cost: $1

I love this bowl! I know, I love all my thrift store finds, but why would I buy it if I didn't love it? Yes, you are spending a lot less then going to a department store but you should still really love it. It is still your hard earned money after all and this pretty was worth every penny! I use it for cookies and candies and anything else I want to present in a fun way (not just on a boring plant).

Check out Crystal's Thrift House this week!

Thrift House: Metal Scoop?

Cost: 49 cents

I thought the design of this was so fun. I really like the traditional sometimes so I got it. I like that it's so angeled; it makes it so much easier to scoop out bars, or lasagna. Humm...now I'm hungry!

Thrift House: Wooden Fruit Bowl

Cost: $1

I love this bowl. I didn't know what I was going to use it for at first when I got it but I just love the shape and there was a huge score of wooden bowls at the thrift store that day so I just got them all. I've used it for chips, candy, and cookies so far but I just started using it for fruit. We don't have heaps of open counter space so it's perfect as a little bowl on there. It fits great!
